Every Tuesday during the month of February, Hooters will donate 1/3 of the proceeds from the sale of our world famous chicken wings to Holy Family School. Holy Family School was established in 1985 to provide the opportunity for minority kids in Chicago’s low-income neighborhoods to get a first-class education. At-risk kids need a strong academic foundation, and more, and Holy Family provides more by focusing on students’ academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development. Eat Wings for the Children at Hooters every Tuesday and earn “extra credit” for doing your part to ensure a quality education for our kids.
Official Press Release
On Tuesdays during the month of February, Chicagoland Hooters locations donate one-third of all world-famous chicken wing sales to the Holy Family School’s Tuition Assistance Fund. Since 1992, Hooters has raised nearly half a million dollars for Holy Family through the Wings For Children program. The Holy Family School was established 25 years ago to provide a high-quality education for minority students in Chicago’s low-income neighborhoods.
The results of the program have been impressive, with 87% of the Holy Family alumni enrolling in private and select college-preparatory high schools between 1990 and 2004. Due to the success of Wings for Children, in both 2005 and 2011, the Hooters Restaurants in Illinois were named the state winner of the National Restaurant Association’s Restaurant Neighbor Award, which recognizes outstanding commitment to the community. The money donated by the Wings for Children program enables 8 students to receive a first-class education at Holy Family School each year.
Hooters Restaurants derive a great sense of satisfaction from helping children in low-income neighborhoods enjoy an outstanding academic experience, and is thrilled to provide these kids with the wings they need to fly. See participating Chicagoland locations here.
And remember… kids can’t fly without wings.
