Wings for the Kids is Back to Give Back!

Hooters in the Community.

Hooters is a neighborhood restaurant and we like to stay active in the communities around our locations. From sponsoring little league teams and celebrating First Responders Day, to building homes with Habitat for Humanity, our staff has always taken great pride in “giving a Hoot.” One of our favorite ways to support our Chicagoland neighbors is our annual Wings for the Kids program.

Since 1992, on Tuesdays in February, Hooters has donated one-third of the proceeds from our World-Famous Chicken Wing sales to the Holy Family School on the west side of Chicago. So far, we’ve been able to raise over $680,000 for the school’s Tuition Assistance Fund!

Holy Family School was established in 1985 to offer a high-quality education for minority children in Chicago’s low-income neighborhoods, providing a learning environment that nurtures intellectual, spiritual, social, emotional and physical growth for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. On average, money donated by Chicagoland Hooters Restaurants enables 8 children to receive a first-class education at Holy Family each year.

Wings for the Kids

Our Wings for the Kids program originated at our very first location – Hooters of Clearwater – which earned us the Patron of Education award from state of Florida. When our brand expanded into Chicagoland, continuing to help kids just made perfect sense – like serving ranch with hot wings.

If you would like to support this incredibly worthy cause, just stop by any Chicagoland location on Tuesdays in February, and be sure to order plenty of wings. It’s the most delicious and rewarding way you can help Chicago’s less fortunate children thrive… by giving them the wings they need to fly!
