The Original Hooters is open (all over again).

Clearwater, FL – The New Original Hooters in Clearwater will open at 11 AM Monday, February 13, after a full-scale remodeling of the 28-year-old location.
The Hooters at 2800 Gulf to Bay Blvd. is the restaurant that in 1983 launched the brand that now boasts more than 480 locations in 44 states and 27 countries.
Hooters Management Corp. closed the Original Hooters November 28 of last year and has completely renovated and rebuilt it in the same location, preserving some of the elements from the Original. Part of the old bar and original flooring have been retained, as have some of the walls and part of the original structure.
The "delightfully tacky, yet unrefined" ambiance is still central to the theme in The New Original Hooters. The 7,000-square-foot restaurant has 209 seats, and includes an indoor/outdoor bar and 35 flat panel HD televisions. A special feature in the New Original is the Hooters MuSEEum, chronicling many of the milestones in the company's "soon to be relatively famous" history. Along with numerous photos and videos for customers to enjoy, it showcases keepsakes that memorialize Hooters' storied past.

"It's an exciting time, especially for our loyal customers," said Neil Kiefer, president and CEO of Hooters Management Corp.
"The opening of The New Original Hooters is reinvigorating. It's the familiarity and comfort of the brand and experience we've all grown to love -- with a fresh look -- right here where it all began," he said.
The New Original Hooters is one of 22 Hooters Restaurants owned and operated by Hooters Management Corp. in Tampa Bay, Chicago and Manhattan. To reach The New Original Hooters call 727-797-4008. For more information become a fan on Facebook or follow them on Twitter.
